This years Spring Challenge saw Karen an outright winner in the overall position. She managed to lose 4,5 kg’s, 4 cm’s in girth measurements with a small drop in total body fat and improved her time on the circuit in convincing style. Karen has been a runner up on two occasions so 3 rd time lucky for her.
It’s the 10th annual edition of the spring challenge. It kicks off on Monday 4th September and ends on Thursday 23 rd November 2017.
This year sees the return of a timed circuit which challenges all the muscle groups and is sure to keep ones heart rate up in the 3-5 minutes of this routine. The clients will be doing the circuit twice a month to track improvements in their times.
As a personal trainer for 21 years I am constantly reminded that it’s the small positive things done on a regular basis that make the overall difference in achieving your goals.
Life is busy for all of us whether its juggling a family, work commitments or both, trying to be to rigid with a training program is sure to set you up for failure.
The better approach to maintaining or improving is small things done consistantly over time that has the best positive outcome.
This approach makes your training and eating habits more flexible as you work around family and time commitments as apposed to not doing anything that particular day or letting bad eating choices creep in .
Thanks for the great trophy “Nu 1 Personal Trainer”, it’s been great training you Wendy.
I know you have learnt a lot when it comes down to doing your own weight training with good technique and understanding of which muscles are working with the appropriate exercise.
Wendy and I have worked exclusively on building up muscle and restoring her metabolism to working as fast as possible thereby being able to burn more fat and restore muscle.
I look forward to doing some Skype training from SA to the UK.
Best of luck in your new adventures

Watch this space of 2017 challenge.
This year the spring challenge is going to take the shape of a 12 week body transformation challenge instead of the traditional time trial circuit.
This way everyone has a fair chance of bettering their bodies and getting into the best shape of their lives.
Over the 12 weeks there will be a progress assessment every 3 weeks and pictures taken of before, during and after to keep clients motivated and competitive during the challenge.
Each client will receive training programmes and nutrition guideline handouts to assist them in achieving their goals.
Anyone who is not a BBodies client and would like a chance to compete with my clients in this spring challenge is welcome to contact me for details on how to enter.
